A professional musician since the 1970s, Russ has worked
with such entertainment legends as Bob Hope, Dick Clark, Joey Bishop, Martha Reeves, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Little Anthony, Bobby Rydell, Lou Christie, The Drifters, The Crystals, The
Shirelles, just to name-drop a few! He earned the position of assistant to legendary jazz great, George
Benson in 1988. Russ co-founded a jazz trio in 2002 featuring, at different times, bassists Mike Richmond, Nicki Parrot, Cameron Brown, Jay Leonhart, to name
an illustrious few, and formed "RD3", The Russ DeFilippis Trio
in 2003.

Mike has performed and recorded with the greats: Miles Davis, Stan Getz, Horace
Silver, Dizzy Gillespie, Ravi Shankar, Les Paul, Henry
Mancini, Quincy Jones and many other legendary artists. He has appeared on over 300 recordings (12
solo). Two solo recordings, DANCE FOR
ANDY and DREAM WAVES, were voted as one of the top ten recordings for 1991
and 1978.
Mike’s bass method book MODERN WALKING BASS TECHNIQUE (Ped Xing Music), is
used in over 300 school systems and universities internationally.

During his career, Paul has performed in a wide variety of musical styles ranging from jazz, blues, rock 'n' roll, country
to symphonic work.
In the 80s, he played with Russ DeFilippis in an original jazz-fusion band called
Tempest, later forming a rhythm section backing national musical acts such as: The Drifters, The Shirelles, Little Anthony, The Crystals, Lou Christie and many others.
Other notables he has performed with include John Pizzarelli, Billy Mitchell (Count Basie), Arnie Lawrence, and Bill Triglia (Charles Mingus), Roxy Perry (NY Blues Queen), Melvin Sparks and Pete Levin.
